Duke's email & fun with interns

Hey Dan,

Loved your page! Yep, Duke is scum.

Duke doesn't have an EMAIL address? Oh, let me help! If you want to share your thoughts with him, just EMAIL his chief of staff, Patrick McSwain. He's a real A-hole too. I went to Washington when I was part of a group from my college to lobby for more student aid. This McSwain guy just sat there and then talked down to us like we were a bunch of little kids. He looked like he was about maybe 3 years out of college himself so I don't know what his problem was. But at least he gave me his card, hehehe. Anyway, EMAIL him at patrick.mcswain@mail.house.gov. The more EMAILS, the better.

One other thing ... a buddy of mine who's a Republican (ick) interned in Washinton and so I hear, they all know about Duke up there and he is a big fat pervert. He told me Duke was getting it on with the interns way before Bill and Monica. He's really gross and everbody in the Capital laughs about it.

Hope this helps

Jake K.

Cunningham was a womanizer in the Navy
Author: Dan Anderson
Date:   2002-05-24 22:55:37

Here's an interesting quote from Gregory L. Vistica's history
Fall From Glory: The Men Who Sank the U.S. Navy

The context is Mr. Vistica is talking about what the Navy should do about the "Tailhook" convention scandals. Cunningham was a Tailhook member until 1989, after retired from the Navy.

There was no doubt that change was needed. Many naval officers were in agreement with that. But Cunningham, a majority of aviators felt, was the wrong guy to do it. For him to raise a fus was like the pot calling the kettle black. Publicly Cunningham was a war hero, the first U.S. pilot and the only naval aviator to become an ACE in Vietnam by shooting down five enemy plances. But there was another, darker side to him. Those who were on cruises with him claimed he was a womanizer and had been picked up by the shore patrol on several occasions for drunkenness." And few outside of the figher community and the upper reaches of the Navy knew that he had almost been court-martialed for illegal and unethical behavior at Top Gun.

The book goes on and tells about Cunningham breaking and entering Admiral Ready's office and almost being court-martialed for the crime.

Footnote
•Norm Gandia interview with the author, April 27, 1992. Gandia, a former Blue Angel and retired Navy captain, said he and Cunningham had been picked up on several occasions for being drunk. Cunningham, through his aid Frank Collins, twice declined to comment about his time in the Navy.

Gregory L. Vistica is a former reporter for the San Diego Union-Tribune and is now
a reporter for Newsweek.

I sent him this message:

Duke's Lawyers:

"His own misconduct has already left him penniless, homeless, estranged from those he loves and disgraced in the eyes of his countrymen," they wrote.

That's not fair: Poor people like me already suffer from all those problems, and we didn't rip the country off. I just wanted to let you know we all hope that he is screwed.

The guy is a blowhard, a crook, and a scumbag. But we should all say a prayer for him because he is still a human being. He will probably die within the next 1 - 2 years anyway.

Go Army! Beat Navy!

Unfortunately, this guy represents everything that is wrong with our country's values today. His performance as a fighter pilot are history, however his performance as an elected representative are not unlike the performance of his peers in congress and the business community. He received his just rewards in the long run. we can only hope that people of his ilk will share adjacent cells as the price of their corruption.

Wow, you should read the latest Rolling Stone issue that really goes at Randy like a bunch of kids rioting and a baseball game. Don't miss it. The article goes into depth on Randy's crimes and his response to those who criticized him. "Inside the worst congress ever" is the title of the article. Look for Step Five section on page 84. Happy reading.

It's crazy when an American hero is criticed

It is crazy when a real American hero who put his life on the line for our liberty is criticed on some lame website. It is amazing what jealousy can do to a person.

In the mold of Chesty Puller, George Patton, and Pappy Boyington, Duke Cunningham is an American hero. Way to go!

Norm Gandia is correct about Vistica. The methods that Vistica tried to use on me and other Tailhook attendees were clearly devised to produce the story that he desired. He was blatantly unconcerned with facts.

I was at Tailhook 91; Cunningham was not. However, he'd been a board member who was notoriously absent from meetings and like McCain, Glenn, and other ex-naval politicans, ran not walked to the exit when the witch hunt began. The plain fact is that the Tailhook Assn. announced the abusive behavior as part of an attempt to correct it, and the move was released by a "feminazi" on AirPac staff. Bush 41, Cheney, et al, similarly wimped out and attempted to destroy Tailhook—a civilian organization with no authority over military personnel. As a retired admiral said, "Hook 91 was a navy problem that was made into a Tailhook problem."

I hate to break the news to you Robert from New Jersey, Cunningham is hardly from the mold of Chesty Puller, George Patton, or Pappy Boyington....I'm surprised you didn't add Douglas MacArthur in there. Look at Cunningham's bio and look at their's

Did you recently read about "Duke" taking bribes?.......George S didn't earn a DIME chasing the Germans across Europe. Chesty Served in the Corps almost 40 years I think?....and well, Pappy got that little medal Duke was trying for.

Seems like you need to learn the definition of the word "hero".

This guy's a real piece of work, but there won't be too many kick backs in prison. Maybe we can clean out some more of the republican soap scum in congress.

If, and hopefully when, we clean up the "soap scum in congress". few will be left, and their party will mean nothing. I knew both Duke Cunningham and Steve Ritchie (USAF Ace) during 'Nam. They were both a$$ holes, with Duke heading the list.

Seems like the make ups of most war heros have some real dark sides, not unlike our last few presidents. Man, do we need term limits.

None of us should take any glee and Cunninghams failure! It's another American tragedy.
