Here's an old 1998 Election Day interview of Duke Cunningham. He speaks on various topics, including the dangers of the Internet and how he got his call sign "Duke".

"There's some things on the Internet that are very disturbing. . . . There's a lot of these campaigns, there is stuff in there that is absolutely slanderous and I think libel. And in many cases I would like to see somehow that they clear up that problem that we have . . . . And I would hope in the future that litigation as far as either challengers or the incumbents themselves, if they're not saying the truth that they'll be liable. Especially if it's slanderous. . . . With only about 30% of the American population voting, don't give up on us, we're going to make it better (laugh).

Last night I clicked around between Barrett-Jackson and a television piece on Federal prisons. They showed the intake processing . . . not fun, humiliating and it definitely will not be the Capital Club for Dandy.

At what, 64 years old, that is too old to submit to that process. Lots of b.s. The look on many faces was shock.

Maybe too old to submit to the process but certainly old enough to know what he did was bad-wrong. So bad-wrong! Arogance and stupidity are a bad combination

I didn't know the guy, but reading the threads from guys who did know him, he was certainly due the "comes around" part of the "what goes around" adage.

Oh, yes, David. You are absolutely correct.

I was just inidcating that he should have thought of the downside . . . prison WHEN you are caught, before he jumped into it. Prison can't be fun for anyone, but da•n sure an ole f•art.

And you are right, Dandy has a lot of "comes around" coming. He got a lot of passes, and took lots of liberties, because of that Ace status cr•p.
