Just to clarify 1st Amendment for those who don't understand |
Author: John Date: 2006-01-09 13:02:09 Although I am not an advocate of lawmakers overturning courts decisions I would like to point out a common mistake made while referring to the seperation of church and state. This phrase is found no where in the 1st amemdment or for that matter any other founding document of this great country. This phrase was inventented by people that don't want any reference pertaining to God anywhere. It is being used to supress religious freedom in our country. This freedom is found in our constitution:Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...
