 Where is he hold up?
Author: Paul

Where is he . . . San Diego, Washington? Where is his "Robber's Roost?" His "Hole in the Wall?" Has he been evicted from his El Rancho "No Gotta" in Rancho Santa Fe?

Come on you San Diego types, do a drive by . . . leave the gat, take the cannoli . . .

Inquiring minds want to know . . .

He's moved out, according to the U-T (12/1/2005):

The guy doesn't tell me where he is. He was looking for a modest house in Carlsbad, California last summer. His personal possessions in his DC office are being shipped from D.C. to the San Diego area. In a few months, I believe he'll have free room and board courtesy of the BOP http://www.bop.gov.

I may drive by and see if there's any federal signage on the property yet.

He also gets to keeps is Naval and Congressional pensions, according to the article.

Oh, Gawd. I just heard from my dear 86-year old Mother. Like Duke she has a couple authentic Louis-Philippe commodes, the family trust gave her a new car and it put new carpets in her Townhouse. She is trying to sell my dear departed Dad's bass boat and pocket the swag from the sale.

Do I turn her in, or demand a bribe from her to keep from turning her in . . . . ?

I drove by during lunch today (12/2/2005) and there's still a For Sale sign by The Sterling Real Estate Co. http://www.sterlingsandiego.com

Here's an earlier thread on the house's value:

Here's an article last August on the difficulty of selling it with the US lis pendens (lien):

It's the "Featured Listing" on the Sterling web page. There's photos too:

Time for someone to come in and drop in a low ball bid of aobut $2.5 M usd and steal that puppy . . . .

This is what they call in the biz, "a distressed property." But for reasons different than usual.

Who wants to live in Rancho Santa Fe? My colleagues who live there are always talking about snooty neighbors who complain if you leave your garage door open five minutes too long.

Here in UC, our neighbors are friendly and everybody pretty much leaves us alone...
