Are you all aware that after his successes in Vietnam Cunningham demanded he become an instructor in the new Top Gun school in San Diego. The CO refused his request saying he was just too stupid too teach. Nonetheless, he taught. The CO was right.

Is that why he WAS asked to teach at the world's premier fighter weapons school? Do you really think he would be allowed to even sit in a fighter if he is as dumb as you say he is? Do you have any idea what physical, mental, and emotional standards are required to be accepted into and complete the Navy's flight training program? These men and women are our nation's cream of the crop. Those that are not washed-out of flight training compete for only a few prized fighter aircraft slots. Only the "Best of the Best" are selected.

Is that why he was given the command of the Navy's "Aggressor Squadron" - the Navy's premier air-to-air combat training squadron where their pilots fly against and train "Top Gun" sudents?

Cunningham was given his call sign, "Duke" by fellow pilots in Viet Nam because he liked and believed in the moral, ethical, and leadership image John "Duke" Wayne protrayed in his movies. Duke Wayne was an actor - Duke Cunningham is the real thing.

He is a true American hero. He was one of the most decorated pilots in that war. He was nominated for the "Congressional Medal of Honor" for shooting a MIG off of his wingman's six. Yes, his wingman and fellow pilots will all testify to his actions.

Cunningham has two Master of Arts Degrees (one an MBA) and suspended his studies just short of completing his doctorate to run for Congress.

Other than being an obvious mouthpiece for Dandy Randy, what else have YOU done? What school did you go to...and to what causes have you given time and/or effort to?

BTW, Mitch, it's impossible for anyone to answer you until you have finished your post.
