For those who may not have seen it, this week's San Diego Reader had an interesting Cunningham related article. It reports that the Pentagon's Criminal Investigative Service had begun a criminal investigation into Cunningham's dealings in 2000 � five years earlier than the U-T article that broke open the case.

What is worse, it reports that the Federal attorney in San Diego back then, Gregory Vega, when informed of Cunningham's early crimes identified by the investigation, did nothing.

This is really disgusting!
