I live in England and dont know much about Mr Cunningham aside from his Pilot exploits, and lets face it this guy has a pretty impressive record in that department, decorated many times for his skills and bravery. I would like to comment on a remark made by Lan Nyugen [Dec. 30, 1998] saying Colonel tomb would have shot him down had he been flying a Mig 21 instead of a M-17, both aircraft involved in that dogfight had advantages and disadvantages over each other. It takes the pilot to exploit those weaknesses in his enemy, i think youll find that Mr C knew more about both aircrafts capabilities than his enemy. I mean this with no disrespect to the Mig 17 pilot but thats the way it was.

Credit were its due, maybe he is not as good in politics as in aviation but I think people should should find an area were criticism can be fairly given and this is not one of them.
